Kenya Police have returned to the top of the Kenya Premier League standings following a 3-1 win over Murang'a Seal in Machakos Saturday afternoon.

Two goals from Mohamed Bajaber and one from David Irishura gave cops the three points they craved and with it a place atop the standings, above Tusker FC who silenced Posta Rangers 2-1 on Friday.

Police lead the KPL with 45 points from 24 games played.

Tusker are second on 44 points with Gor Mahia, who beat Bandari 2-0 at Dandora Stadium, sitting on third having played a game less than their opponents. Alpha Onyango and Chris Ochieng handed Kogallo the valuable points.

KCB on the other hand climbed to 39 points in fourth with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Ulinzi Stars at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi.

Francis Kahiro won the game for KCB with an 86th-minute strike to add to an earlier effort from Kelvin Okumu. Joseph Ochieng had opened the scoring for the soldiers.

In Kakamega, Homeboyz could only manage a frustrating barren draw against FC Talanta, with the visitors putting in a spirited defensive display to secure a point.

In the early kick-off at Dandora Stadium, Mathare United were shocked after losing to the struggling Kariobangi Sharks 3-1.

Sharks had failed to win any of their last 11 matches in the League but goals from Stephen Bwire, Ghai Panchol, and Humphrey Aroko gave them a well-deserved win.

Elly Asieche had given Mathare the lead 6 minutes into the clash.
